A Model of Inclusion
At International School Bangkok (ISB), we believe that learning in a diverse environment has the potential to confer benefit for all learners, teachers, and the community.
Through our Learning Support Program, we provide support for students with mild, moderate and intensive learning needs as well as the highly able. Our Learning Support team is comprised of certified and experienced special educators, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and School Psychologists.
We offer differentiated instruction, accommodations, and consultation within the classroom setting as well as:
– Small group instruction
– Point – of – performance support
– Co-teaching
– Small group support classes
– Individualized education plans and learning goals
Intensive Learning Center
ISB also has an intensive Learning Program which serves students with intellectual or Developmental Disabilities, who require a highly individualized education that focuses on developing independence and life skills. Students are placed in grade-level homeroom classes and receive specialized instruction in the Intensive Learning Center (ILC) by a highly- trained special educator and assistants, supported by other related professionals such as Speech-Language Pathologists, School Psychologists and Occupational Therapists.
Our approach ensures that students receive highly individualized instruction to address their unique learning and developmental needs and are full and valued members of our community.
