Bangkok is not a place you would normally expect to see snow especially at this time of year when temperatures are soaring but if you want to take the kids to experience some snow and ice, and cool them down, then ice magic is the place for you. Ice magic has opened as a pop-up snow and ice fantasy land until July and it is set to be the largest indoor snow park in Thailand. The Winter Wonderland is organised by Apollo Entertainment Media, Asia Pacific’s leading event and exhibition organizer and will be the biggest artificial snow area ever built in Thailand.
A magical snowy wonderland is coming to life in Bangkok from 18 April to 16 July, 2023
Ice Magic: Fantasy on Ice, brought to you by Apollo Entertainment Media, is coming to Bangkok from 18 April to 16 July, 2023. Held at The Market Bangkok, a casual, trendy shopping mall located in the heart of the city, this 3,000 square meter Winter Playground will be the largest pop-up ice and snow attraction ever constructed in Thailand, bringing its sub-zero, real ice and snow activities to Thailand for the first time. It’s the perfect escape for travel-deprived Thais who are longing for wintery festivities.
The tentage, which stands at 11.5 meters tall and covers an area of 3,000 square meters, will be separated into ice and snow zones, with unique attractions in each.
Snow Zone – Do You Wanna Build a Snowman
In this zone, snow will be created by the same snow-making machines used in the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, flown into Bangkok to bring the authentic experience of real snow to visitors. Over the course of 20 straight days prior to the opening, the snow machines will pump out fresh, fluffy crystal white snow even cleaner than natural snow found in wintering countries. Guests can experience building a snowman, making snow angels and daily, fresh snowfalls. This zone will also house an 80-meter ski slope, one of the longest and tallest ever constructed in Thailand, offering add on package both ski and snowboard lessons.
Ice Zone
The Ice Zone runs parallel to the Snow Zone and will bring a variety of attractions that have never been seen in Thailand before, merry-go-round on Ice.
This ride is perfect for all family members and given its purely manual design, the entire merry-go-round experience will be powered by YOU! Our merry-go-round on Ice is the perfect ride for kids to have fun with their friends and create new winter memories.
The center piece of the Ice Zone is a double-lane slide that is entirely made of ice. At 148 meters, it’s one of the longest such slides in the world. The slide is complemented by spectacular ice sculptures hand- crafted by master ice sculptors from Harbin, China, the home of the famous Harbin Ice Festival, including a stunning elephant and Tuk Tuk sculpture symbol of Thailand by The coach and student from Ubonratchathani Vocational College. To encourage students to do more activities in their field of study, to gain experience and practice their skills to have the highest capacity for the international snow ice sculpture contest.

Ice Magic: Fantasy on Ice has been an iconic annual event hosted in Beijing since 2008, timed with Beijing’s first snowfall every year outside of the unforeseen restrictions during the pandemic. Apollo Entertainment Media previously brought Ice Magic: Fantasy on Ice to Singapore in December 2022 and plans to bring it to more countries in the region.
Where to Find the Snow
Fantasy on Ice Winter Playground will be located at The Market shopping center, opposite CentralWorld, covering an area of 3,000 square meters in an impressive tent 11.5 meters high. Early-bird tickets are now available for B999 for adults and B799 for children under 12 years old. Open daily from April 18th to July 16th this is set to be a hot (or cool cool) ticket in town, grab your tickets, put on your boots and scarves and go and enjoy some winter wonderland family fun.
