Welcome to Wellington College Bangkok

Facilities in a school playground

We can’t quite believe it but Wellington College Bangkok is already six years old! We are a British School in the heart of Krungthep Kreetha and our 70-rai campus is already home to 850 students aged 2-16 years. Our founding school is situated in Berkshire, England and has been one of the UK’s most prestigious and successful boarding schools for over 160 years. Our family is growing with schools in China, India, Thailand and soon in Indonesia.

A Wellington student receives a pioneering education delivered by the finest, inspiring teachers. They thrive in the classroom and are also encouraged to take part in many different sports, in productions and performances and extra curricular activities.

Early Years at Wellington

Our Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception classes give our 2-5 year old children the finest start possible. The children learn to love coming to school, they learn to love learning! From the earliest age they have Music and PE lessons, visit the library and explore the extensive grounds. By Reception they are enjoying many different activities and are embarking on their journey with Phonics.

We encourage parents to register as soon as possible as our Early Years fill up fast. We are full for August 2024 but have some spaces left in Pre-Nursery and Reception in August 2025. Get in touch now!

Junior School

Our Junior School students enjoy wonderful days with incredible class teachers and a range of Art, Music, Science, Sport and other specialists. They develop their reading and writing skills, mastering English in all its wonderful forms as well as studying Thai and Mandarin. Small class sizes allow individual attention, stretch, challenge and support. Our teachers are all very experienced and supported by assistants to ensure that each child can follow their own pathway. Students have access to their own learning studios, playground and dining hall. An extensive after-school Wellington Extra (WEX ) programme coupled with Enrichment sessions ensures that they can pursue their passions, whatever they may be.

Senior School

Our Senior School is home to our students aged 11-16. They study the British Curriculum leading to IGCSE exams at the end of Year 11. Every student enjoys a rich and varied timetable and in Year 10 they can choose to specialise in subjects including languages, humanities, Art, Drama, Music, PE and much more. The DT suite, five Art rooms, seven Science labs ensure the finest resources in Bangkok. Students also take part in Enrichment, House Competitions, Prep and House Tutor Time.

The Skylight building is centred around a beautiful central atrium. It is fully opened as of April 2024 and must be seen to be fully appreciated.

Sixth Form Seniors

We are excited to announce that our Sixth Form will open in August 2024. Our first Year 12 will experience an exceptional Year 12 and Year 13 as they work towards their selected A-Levels and their Sixth Form Certificate. We will support them every step of the way to entry to elite universities in the UK, US, Thailand and beyond. Our Sixth Formers will develop independence, individuality and many key life skills as they navigate their way to success. The dedicated area is situated on the fifth floor of the building and there will be a wonderful balance between learning to spread their wings – and helping to support and shape the school and its emerging traditions.
