School Spotlight: Nonthaburi

As part of our ongoing focus on education, we are exploring the international education options in various Bangkok neighborhoods. Below are some choices for the Nonthaburi area.

Hampton International School

Hampton has been providing a nurturing Early Years learning environment since 2009. Based on a British-style curriculum, the school’s philosophy revolves around giving children the freedom to discover their world through play and creativity. Student levels range from Toddlers (1-2 years) to Year 1 (5-6 years).

International School Bangkok

Established since 1951, International School Bangkok (ISB) is among the oldest and most highly regarded international schools in Thailand. With students from over 60 countries, the school offers separate elementary, middle and high schools set within a sprawling complex. Academic standards are notably high – the average IB Diploma pass rate over the past 5 years stands at an impressive 97%, compared to a global average of 79%.

Magic Years International School

Magic Years or MY International School features primary years education and expanded learning opportunities for children ages 0 to 11 years. Over the course of more than two decades, the school has gained a reputation as one of Thailand’s leading early years institutions. It is also an IB World School, implementing the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Rose Marie Academy

Established since 1995, Rose Marie Academy is a internationally-oriented Pre K-12 school overseen by an American teacher with three decades of teaching experience. Small class sizes ensure that children receive individual attention and get to progress at a pace that suits their personal ability levels. A dedicated Child Center Program for children aged between 18 months to five years old also helps young children better transition to the school.

St. Andrews Samakee International School

St. Andrews Samakee International School is an independent, privately owned school offering a British-style education to children aged 1+ to 14 years old. With 26 nationalities, the school’s 230+ students are also educated within a diverse learning environment and have access to a wealth of outdoor facilities including sports fields, basketball courts, a bike track and a multi-use games and sports arena.

The Country School

Part of the Early Learning Centre family of international schools, the Country School provides an intimate learning environment for children aged eighteen months to four years old. The cozy setting includes a beautiful play area and a cute library set within an old barn. Class sizes are small to ensure that students receive a high level of focused teaching and support. Many students then progress to the International School of Bangkok.
