Review: Big Blu Sunday Brunch at Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok

Located in the heart of Bangkok, Twenty-Seven Bites Brasserie at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel serves as a great venue for a family get together, a meet up with friends or just a fun experience in a stylish, comfortable hotel setting. The restaurant offers an amazing array of dishes each week for their well renowned Sunday Brunch.

Each food station delivers a culinary journey around Asia with sushi from Japan, duck from China, sumptuous curries from India, and of course fantastic Thai offerings. In addition to Asian food, there is an indulgent collection of traditional western roast meats (pork, lamb and beef), fresh shellfish, oysters and fish, as well as an enticing display of pastries, cakes, puddings and desserts. That doesn’t even touch on the cheese and bread selection, which was international in its offering.

Every dish is authentic to its origins and utterly delicious. This alone is a great reason to visit Twenty-Seven Bites Brasserie; however, the appeal doesn’t end there.

Twenty-Seven Bites Brasserie is specifically designed to enable all members of the family to have a wonderful experience. With a well-facilitated kid’s area, young visitors can enjoy face painting, balloon art, movies and computer games on the PS4. Although children will require supervision, they can hang out and have a great time. The selection of food available for children includes sliders, chips, lasagne and fried rice, although they can eat from the any of the many stations in the main restaurant. The icing on the cake will be the candy floss machine and huge selection of crepes, chocolate fountain dippers, desserts and ice yogurts.

The staff are on hand at every station to talk through each selection, and to help ensure that the children have as much fun as the adults.

Entertainment for the grown-ups comes in the form of live music, setting a fantastic backdrop for the meal, while face painting, video games and a clown & balloon bender are at a special kids’ corner (children may even get up dancing once the sugar high from the candy floss kicks in!)

The brasserie setting is very serene, with low lighting during the meal. If a family brunch venue for a weekend treat or a special occasion is what you’re after, then 27 Bites is a great option.
