About Red Knight Chess

Founded in 2019 by Mr. Riste and Ms. Lori, a couple who are chess masters and coaches who produced many Thailand Champions and tournament winners, Red Knight Chess Club is the fastest growing and now the biggest chess club in the country. It is a place where children can start learning chess from the very basics, and in the same time it is a home of many Thailand Junior Chess Champions, which is a testament of the quality of the training session at the club. All the courses from Intermediate level and above are conducted by chess masters, World Chess Olympiad coaches and/or players, ultimately giving the edge to the Red Knight Juniors in the competitions in Thailand.

The Benefits of Playing Chess?

After many studies that were exploring the benefits of playing chess in the past 2 decades, our game got a wide international recognition and got accepted as a part of curriculum and in extra-curriculum activities all around the world. Children who play chess can benefit in many different ways, from improving their decision making, spatial reasoning, concentration, patience, memory etc. In the same time, chess helps with understanding consequences of bad and rushed decisions, becoming more creative, learning how to accept loses, improve confidence and many more.

Why Red Knight Chess Club?

Because you can enjoy the benefits of chess and improve only if the chess program is conducted by competent and skillful chess coaches, who can recognize the areas where the child needs to improve and they can build a strategy how to help the child to overcome the difficulties that he/she is facing. On a beginner and elementary levels, it may seem that it does not matter where the child will start his/her chess journey. But a wrong foundation is not easy to fix, and it is very important the children to start with the correct ideas and concepts about the game of chess. On Intermediate, Advanced and Competitive levels, results can be achieved only with a very well structured training delivered by master-level coaches. Red Knight Chess Club family has a chess-parents community from more than 30 different countries. Around half of the families in our community are expats. Together, we organize our chess team and travel to various competitions in the country. Our juniors have won more than 500 trophies in the past 5 years, a result that speaks for itself and that we are particularly proud of.
