Calling all families and groups of friends: it’s time to get creative for a good cause! Operation Smile is launching their “Smile Creator Batch 1”, a campaign where kids ages 6+ can do their own style of fundraising to help support cleft lip and/or cleft palate surgery for impoverished children. It’s also a celebration of World Smile Day (4 October 2019).
From today until 16 September 2019 (3 months), individuals or groups of up to 5 members can participate through different activities to publicise and raise funds to help those with cleft palates, so they too can smile brightly. Choose any activity you like, including busking, organising a game, making ice cream, having a bake sale, designing and selling t-shirts, selling toys or even auctioning your creative art masterpieces!
Share your creativity by posting photos or videos of your activities on social media with the hashtags: #IamSmileCreator #OperationSmileThailand #PowerofSmallPowerofSmile.
There is no set amount the kids have to raise – it’s all up to their abilities and how much fun they have! The funds can be any amount, and we believe the kids will do their best to help give a new smile to the children who need these surgeries.
Operation Smile is seeking 100 Smile Creators for this campaign, and all participants will then be invited to come together at The Movement Playground (Sukhumvit 69) on Sunday, 29 September 2019. Each person will receive an Operation Smile Thailand certificate and enjoy free activities at The Movement Playground.
