Run by an expat mum, Giraffe & Hippo produces gorgeous custom birthday cakes that will delight kids and adults alike! Michelle the culinary artist extraordinaire responsible for the cakes above tells us ” This is my craft. This is my passion. I grew up with a love for art and painting, this has been my outlet for creativity the past few years. I work mainly with fondant, but you will also see a variety of media, for example, hand paints and edible paper, and styles used in my cakes. Always trying out new techniques with an aim to create something new and unique. The cakes are made with quality ingredients and their pride/signature flavor is the moist chocolate cake with ganache frosting that uses a blend of West African and French cocoa beans.
