Whether it’s a natural birth or pre-planned big day, to ensure a stress-free hospital stay, it’s a good idea to pack your bags in advance. Whether you’re a mom-to-be, a new dad, or a supportive visitor, here’s a simple guide to help you pack the necessary items for a comfortable and worry-free delivery experience.

Mom’s Bag

  • Comfortable Clothing: Easy-to-wear outfits for comfort and convenient breastfeeding.
  • Breastfeeding Essentials:
    Breastfeeding bra for easy nursing.
    Nursing pads prevent breast milk from entering your clothes, ensuring comfort and dryness.
  • Postpartum Comfort:
    Loose underwear for comfort
  • Belly wrap to maintain good posture and for a greater range of movement.
  • Hygiene and Beauty
    Sanitary pads for post-birth discharge.
    – A touch of makeup for a fresh appearance.
    – Personal care products (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, face cream, body lotion, and a comb).
  • Connectivity and Documentation:
    Mobile phone with emergency contacts.
  • Footwear: Low-heeled shoes or flip-flops for walking around the hospital room.
  • Going Home Attire: Pack an outfit for your return home, considering the postpartum period.
  • Important documents: ID card, house registration, pregnancy-related documents, doctor’s appointments diary, and health insurance.

Newborn’s Bag:

  • Clothes for newborns:
    Soft, skin-friendly clothes with no sharp edges.
    Hats, mittens, and socks for warmth.
    – Newborn-friendly cleansers.
  • Accessories:
    Burp cloths for cleanliness.
    Disposable diapers with tape for a secure fit.
