Join the AMCHAM Independence Day Picnic 2019!

Join the AMCHAM Independence Day Picnic 2019

Mark your calendars for another AMCHAM Independence Day Picnic! Taking place on Saturday, 6 July 2019 from 1pm to 8pm, the annual event reflects a long-standing Bangkok tradition, where everyone — Americans, Thais and Bangkok residents of all nationalities — is invited to enjoy live music from great bands; eat burgers, Tex-Mex, BBQ and Thai dishes; engage in friendly competitions; and join lots of kid-friendly activities. The latter includes bouncy castles, game booths, crafts, face painting, slime making (with BKK Kids!), scavenger hunts, sports activities, and field games such as tug-o-war, gunny sack races, egg toss and pie eating contests. (Check out the schedule below!)

This year, the event promises to be even more exciting with new additions such as a shopping alley, an expanded soccer tournament between several embassies, and a softball pitch. You can also win exciting raffle prizes such as airline tickets, hotel stays, restaurant vouchers and other fantastic prizes.  All proceeds go to support the AMCHAM Foundation Scholarship Program.

The venue is Bangkok Patana School Sports Complex, and tickets are 200 baht with advance online purchase or 300 baht at the door. Children under 12 get in for free. Free parking is also available at the venue.

Shuttle buses will also run between Bang Na BTS and the picnic from 12pm to 8:30pm.  The shuttle pick up point is the Meteorological Department parking lot (take exit 1 and follow the signs). See you then!
