The Unicorn Club brings that extra bit of pizazz to birthday parties, fairs, parenting groups, after school programs or anywhere you need mindful, imaginative and play-based art and entertainment activities for children.
More of a social enterprise than a business, The Unicorn Club reflects a unique collaboration of creative educational specialists whose goals are to provide uplifting children’s events and activities as well as support teens and young adults with disabilities. A number of their employees and activity facilitator trainees have intellectual and/or physical challenges. Through working with The Unicorn Club, such individuals benefit from gainful employment as well as from personal growth as they work towards long-term independence.
On a broad level, The Unicorn Club aims to foster diversity of ability, enabling interactive partnerships between typical and non-typical participants, and thus creating positive socialisation and inclusiveness. Part of their revenue also helps support other special needs training programs.
Activities they provide at functions include:
- DIY Crafts: gel candles, plaster doll painting, tie-dye, bead bracelet/necklace making, pot plant painting, slime and play dough
- Games: bingo, balloon pop, egg scoop, can toss
- Entertainment: face painting, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, magic show & workshop, hula hoop show & workshop
So, the next time you are stumped for party or event entertainment for kids, get in touch with The Unicorn Club for a win-win way to have fun, create, and connect!
