Shrewsbury City Campus announces the launch of its first Nursery, offering places for students aged 2 years old.
The new Nursery at the Sukhumvit/Rama 9 campus has a range of beautiful spaces for sensory play, reading, cooking, technology, construction and splash play. Nursery children will also enjoy access to the school’s Early Years Garden, the Little Gym soft play, the Library and the young learners swimming pool. Want to see this for yourself? The learning approach in the Nursery at Shrewsbury City Campus complements the philosophy that young children learn best through play.
The launch of Shrewsbury’s first nursery responds to ongoing demand for places at Thailand’s leading international school. Families have the choice of beginning their child’s education at City Campus (Sukhumvit/Rama 9) or Riverside (Charoenkrung Road), before all students come together in the Senior School at Riverside at 11+ years old.
The Nursery at City Campus is managed by Ms Danielle Devanny, a qualified British teacher with over 11 years of experience in early years education. Ms Danielle is no stranger to managing new projects with world-class education establishments. In 2014, she opened and developed the Early Years department for Dulwich College’s new campus in Yangon, Myanmar. Ms Danielle went on to lead this outstanding Early Years provision for seven years, before taking up her new role at Shrewsbury City Campus this year.
Ms Danielle shared: “I am extremely excited about opening the first Nursery at Shrewsbury, which has already proven to be very popular. We have created a ‘home-like’ atmosphere where the children feel safe and secure for their first experiences of school life. I am forming strong relationships with families to ensure these first transitions into school are seamless. I plan to allow the children to lead me on their individual learning paths, letting the children develop at their own pace, whilst encouraging them to be curious and follow their own wonders.”
Following the first day of opening, Principal Ms Dennison reflected: “It is so exciting to see Nursery-aged pupils onsite and enrolled for the very first time here at City Campus. The children were so happy, arriving confidently, ready to explore their new welcoming environment and make new friendships. We look forward to watching each and everyone of them grow and flourish here at Shrewsbury.”
