10 Family-Friendly Resorts In and Around Hua Hin

aleenta

Thailand is known for its amazing coastlines and islands. Thai beaches, with their azure waters, white sands, and breathtaking views, rank among the best in the world. Plus, many are full of family-friendly activities and resorts for an unforgettable time with your loved ones.

This year, more than ever, it’s time to explore what Thailand has to offer as many of us are grounded due to international travel restrictions. Now is the perfect time to island hop and discover all those lesser known islands and re-visit some of the more popular beach destinations.

For a quick beach escape when your desperate for some sand between your toes all good city dwellers know that Hua Hin is an easy and great escape from the concrete jungle. With such a selection of hotels to choose from we asked our BKK Kids community for their top picks of resorts that cater to families with children, offering a range of activities and amenities that allow parents to relax and kids to explore, play and… just be kids.

Sea

Cha-am and Hua Hin have always attracted families, thanks to their long beaches, mellow settings, and comfortable, family-oriented resorts. Each area has its own character, but both offer a variety fun things to do like horse riding on the beach, visiting night markets, and spending the day at a waterpark. The beaches are long, wide and clean and serve as good spots for children to play and explore.

Hua Hin has long been the preferred seaside escape for Thai nobility since the 1920s, giving the region the air of an elegant coastal retreat. Home to two summer palaces – including the nearby Mrigadayavan Palace of King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) consisting of sixteen beautiful teak buildings – the vibrant coastal town is famed for its long white-sand beaches, local seafood delicacies and colorful night markets. Other local attractions include Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park with its limestone hills and infamous Phraya Nakhon cave and the beautiful cascading waterfalls of Kaeng Krachan National Park.
