Top 10 Halloween Party Games for Kids

Halloween Kids cartoon

Planning a Halloween party? Whether it’s at school, in your community, or right at home (if you’re feeling brave), kids absolutely love getting involved in the fun! With the right games, you can turn any space into a spooktacular celebration that will keep everyone entertained for hours. From spine-chilling challenges to giggle-inducing activities, these Halloween games are sure to be a hit. So, gather your mini witches, ghosts, and monsters, and get ready to play! Need the perfect party playlist? check-out our top 10 spooky songs for the ultimate Halloween party.

1. Apple Bobbing
A classic Halloween game and a crowd pleaser with kids of all ages. Fill a large tub with water and float small apples on top (small enough for kids to bite into). The kids have to grab an apple using only their mouths—no hands allowed! It’s a wet and wacky challenge that always gets everyone laughing.

2. Pumpkin Bowling
Set up empty plastic bottles or paper towel rolls as pins, decorate them with spooky faces, and use a small pumpkin as the bowling ball. Strike!

3. Mummy Wrap Relay
Split the kids into teams and give each team a roll of toilet paper. One person on each team gets wrapped up like a mummy, and then has to race to the finish line without unraveling. The fastest mummy to make it to the end wins!

4. Pin the Hat on the Witch
A Halloween twist on “Pin the Tail on the Donkey.” Blindfold the kids and have them try to pin the witch’s hat onto her head. Whoever gets the closest wins!

5. Musical Zombies
Play spooky music while the kids walk in a circle. When the music stops, they have to freeze like zombies! The last one to stop moving is out until only one zombie remains.

5. Spider Web Obstacle Course
Create a maze of string or crepe paper in a hallway or room, and have the kids crawl through it without touching the “spider web.” The one who gets through the fastest without disturbing the web wins!

6. Ghost Hunt
Hide small ghost-shaped cutouts or ghostly treats around the party area. Let the kids go on a spooky scavenger hunt to find as many as they can.

7. Pumpkin Ring Toss
Place mini pumpkins on the floor and give the kids rings made from glow sticks or small hoops. The goal is to toss the rings onto the pumpkin stems!

8. Eyeball Spoon Race
Use small plastic eyeballs (or ping-pong balls with eyes drawn on them) for a classic spoon race. The first to make it to the finish line without dropping their eyeball wins!

9. Spider Races
Give each child a plastic spider and a straw. The goal is to blow through the straw to race their spider across a table or floor to the finish line. The first one to get their spider across the finish line wins!

These games are simple to set up and promise loads of fun for all the little ghosts and goblins at your party. Don’t forget to check out our other Halloween-themed blogs for spooky snacks and costumes to round out the perfect Halloween celebration!
