Angry Birds at The Kid Friendly Paragon Cineplex

Our children really wanted to see Angry Birds 2, and it was playing at The Kids Cinema at Paragon Cineplex, so we decided to give it a try. We all enjoyed the experience in our own ways.

About Paragon Cineplex.

The kids cinema at Paragon is run by Major Cineplex and is a 25,000 sq m movie theatre spread out over  the 5th and 6th floors of Siam Paragon shopping centre. It has 14 movie theatres including an IMAX theatre, the Enigma lounge, Ultra Screen cinemas featuring reclining seats and Siam Pavalai, the 1200 seat theatre suitable for musical and theatrical performances.

Major Cineplex turn one of the theatres into a dedicated Kids cinema at the weekends during the release of new kids movies. The special cinemas are indicated in the booking choices so make sure you book the correct theatre to avoid disappointment. They offer a great opportunity for families who want to venture out to the movies without the concerns of their kids disrupting the normal theatre setting.

What We Loved Most About Paragon Cineplex.

The ball pit, right in front of the screen, and the slide, next to the stairs, is a great way to keep kids entertained before, after, and during the movie. My oldest son sat in the ball pit for most of the film. The sound from kids playing is not as disturbing as one would think it can be.

There are regular chairs as well at 2-seat sofas at the back. In the front, you have round and square sofas to choose from, where you also get pillows and blankets for the sofas. Blankets are important because air con is on full blast and you’ll likely be cold!

We also give kudos to the Paragon kids cinema for not showing violent or grown-up movies before the actual film. Many times I have had to cover my children’s eyes and ears when the trailers are running, but not this time as they were all kids movies. The lights were good just ok to see the kids but not bright enough to distract from the movie. We had a very fun experience for the whole family.
